China Marketing & Promotional Support
To enhance visibility of the mobile and wireless applications / product services, a series of marketing and promotional activities will be organized, including Conferences, Networking Events, Application Roadshow, Product Showcases and Business Development Seminars. |

Conference
Large scale conferences in PRD China will be held during the project period. Both local and international speakers will be invited to share their experience on wireless applications & products, successful business cases and most importantly, to disseminate the Hong Kong developed applications to local telecom operators and industry practitioners. Mission tours will be arranged for Hong Kong SMEs to participate in the events as well as meeting local industry practitioners.
The conferences allow enhancing communication, foster partnership, allow exchange of information and sharing of experience in respect of the technical standards, business know-how, applications & services, market statistics and so on. |
Networking Events
Industry and mobile network operator (MNO) centric networking events supported by major China telecom operators and other industry practitioners in the PRD will be held during the project period. The semi-formal networking events normally serve with refreshments and invite key industry practitioners to share their experience on wireless application and product development.
WTIA / HKWDC will also invite China and Hong Kong industry practitioners to participate in the event and share their best practices on wireless application and services. |
Application Roadshow
It includes demonstration activities and media promotion. The roadshow will be featured as stage pose for demonstration and dissemination to the market, exploring new business opportunities.
The application roadshow reciprocate with the large scale conferences will be held to display and demonstrate latest wireless applications and products developed by Hong Kong developers. Booths will be setup in the roadshow areas. The roadshows provide firsthand experience of the applications and products to local telecom operators and industry practitioners which help to advance the success of product/application dissemination in the Mainland market.
Hong Kong wireless application developers will be invited to demonstrate their latest mobile and wireless applications adopted in government, retail, marketing, home living, logistics and other industries. |
Product Showcase
Product showcases supported by PRD mobile network operators (MNOs) and industry practitioners will be held to showcase and demonstrate their wireless applications and products. The Hong Kong wireless application developers will be invited to showcase their applications. The product showcase helps to accelerate technology exchange and promote wireless application and products dissemination in the PRD market. |
Business Development Seminar
Each seminar will be conducted in one day with interactive consultancy session. The seminar aims to equip local wireless developers with necessary knowledge of telecom policy, business development, marketing and media skills for promoting and deploying their products and services in Mainland. Contents of the programme include business skills development, marketing & financial consultancy, knowledge on regulations and standards in Mainland and business matching services so as to assist local start-ups in tapping into the Mainland market. Professionals and experts in different areas will be invited to be the speakers / trainers of the seminars / workshops. |
